Inner Back Cover

This is the inner back cover, it is an inverted version of the front cover, this creates contrast and change within the digipak. also it adds a very bright page, as the others do not include much colour.

Inner Front Cover

This is in improved version of the original, the simple changes improve the image and the impact that the page is there to make.

This is the first version of the Inner Front Cover, i liked it but i still wanted to play with the designs a little more to improve the visual impact of the image.

DigiPak Back Cover

This is the Original design for the Back of the album, i found that the white text is hard to read and the barcode was also hard to see.

This Is the final design for the back cover of the Digipak, This is a version of the original but with some changes that improve the design.

Storyboard: Inert Explosions - Dan Le Sac Scroobius Pip

the first page is to establish the first scene of the video, it is the first images that the viewer see's and therefore should be the best to keep the audience watching.

Page 2 consists of the photo scene. i have gone into detail on this one because it will make it easier to follow when filming the scene.

The speech in this scene will be presented in speech bubbles, this adds another dimension.

this scene goes from the speech bubbles to the picture frame again, again in detail to show me how to do it percicly when i am filming the scene.

This is the start of the Desk part of the scene.

this shows the character getting up and leaving.

this shows the character getting up and leaving the desk, it also goes into the next part of the scene where the front of the characters house shown.

This page consists of the opening of the door and the start of the bike scene. I have tried to depict the bike as best I can and the position that it is in.

This page shows the character riding the bike through the town, i hope to mount the camera onto the handle bar of the bike.

this scene goes back to the picture frame scene. as portrayed before. but with the female instead of the male.

This goes back to the desk scene, as portrayed before, but wit the female instead of the male.

This scene is where the song lyrics correspond with the actions seen on screen.

This scene is where the song lyrics correspond with the actions seen on screen.

This shows the opening of the door in detail and the position of the bike when on the floor.

this scene shows the position when riding and the direction of travel by the female rider, the camera will be mounted to the handle bars but the scene will also be captured by another camera meaning that in both takes the scene must be identical

This last scene depicts the meeting of the two people and the final destination of the couple.

Artist Reseach

Artist - Dan Le Sac & Scroobius Pip

Label - Sunday Best Recordings

Years active - 2007 Present

an le sac Vs Scroobius Pip are a hip-hop duo, combining electronic beats with spoken word lyrics. The pair are Daniel Stephens (aka dan le sac; production, programming, keyboards, guitars and backing vocals), and David Peter Meads (aka Scroobius Pip; vocals/rapper). The name "Scroobius Pip" is an intentional misspelling of the Edward Lear poem, The Scroobious Pip. dan le sac originally hails from Corringham and Scroobius Pip from neighbouring Stanford-le-Hope in Essex. Their first single was "Thou Shalt Always Kill". Signed with the Sunday Best record label, dan le sac Vs Scroobius Pip released their debut album in 2008. Titled Angles, it reached 31 in the UK album chart. They released their second album entitled The Logic of Chance on 15 March 2010 on the Sunday Best label.

This is the dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip for "Letter From God To Man" this video depicts the journey of a young child dressed as a dinosaur from the point where she finds the letter addressed "man" to the point where the letter is delivered, the video sets contrasts throughout and leaves the child in situations where a child should not normally be put in alone, for example at "1.53" in the video the child is walking through an area like Soho london an area famous for the sex trade. and towards the end of the video she is going through a abandoned looking building full of graffiti and near to the train line, she then delivers the letter to a group of people, who are maybe who she thinks are responsible to represent mankind. throughout the video she is happy and not surprised about what she is too do, maybe she new all along that this was to happen.

Electronic Music video. (Soulwax - NY Excuse)

As the last few videos have been Rock/country based i have chosen to do an extra video analysis, This is so i can research video's which could include animation and other types of mediums.

This video combines nearly all the different types of editing techniques and recording methods.

at the very start it flicks between photos and words this creates a subliminal messaging type appearance and creates an uncomfortable viewing.

There is only one main scene that is involves the band, this has then been edited and deconstucted so that it can fit into uncomfortable style of the rest of the video.

the other clips look like they are mainly form old adverts that have been cut up and in some cases reversed.

Music Video Analysis 3 (Johnny Cash - Hurt)

This music video has been made as a replay of johnny cash's life. This is done by including clips from old videos and movies that he has been featured in. it also at one point cuts to an old video where you hear him say, "you stay the hell away from me, you hear?"

The editing in this video consists of cuts that are set in time to the music, so that on every first beat of a four beat bar there is a cut to a corresponding scene. other editing features of this film are: the editing of the colour using lighting and filters, this creates a darker feel, and the lightness that is created when he is playing piano.

The end of this video is very famous, this i think is because of the fact that it is very simple yet effective, johnny is shown with the lights going down on him at old performance (in B+W) and then the older Johnny is shown closing the lid of his piano and putting his shaking hands on the lid, this by some people is seen to be him showing use that this s the end of his singing chorea, because months after this video was shot Johnny Cash died.

Music video analysis 2 ( My Chemical Romance - The Ghost of You)

This video is meant to be in the same context as the movie "Saving Private Ryan" in both the story line and settings.

There are two main scenes and locations, one being the "dance scene" in the bar, and the other being on the beach in combat, this chances the people between normal civilians to scared war personnel

This video uses a brilliant selection of editing techniques to get the most out of the top quality visuals. The editing techniques chance a great deal between the two scenes, the ballroom and the battle field.

the change of scene comes when the music changes, as in the track there are two very different sections one that is softer and one that is full of aggression. this then acts as a marker to when the location changes.

The Lighting in the video is also set to make the change more dramatic, one is very light and warm where as the other scene is cold created by the use of blue and grey colours.

Music Video Analysis. (Brand new - Sic Transit Gloria... Glory Fades)

This Brand New video displays perfectly the messed up mind of the Vocalist (the main character). When the singer is first running into the shot it uses a varity of camera shots to display the movement made. The object of the video is to create an effect that the movements made by the singer are copied by all the other occupants of the bar or that the singer controls these other people. The dark mood of the video is created by the darkness in the lighting and downbeat acting with its dark twist.
